Our Story: Born from a Need for Better Filipino Educational Tools
Sulyap Kids began with a simple, yet profound realization: Filipino children deserved educational technology that spoke to their hearts and minds, in their own language, and with their own cultural imagery. Founded by Maria Reyes, a passionate early childhood educator with over 20 years of experience in Manila's public schools, and David Lim, a software engineer with a vision for accessible education, we set out to bridge this critical gap.
Our journey started in a small home office in Quezon City, fueled by countless hours of research, development, and collaboration with parents and teachers. We faced challenges, from adapting complex educational theories to interactive formats to ensuring seamless integration of Filipino cultural nuances. But with every child's smile and every teacher's positive feedback from our early pilot programs in schools across Metro Manila, our resolve strengthened.
Today, Sulyap Kids has grown from a dream into a vibrant community, committed to creating world-class digital learning tools that empower the next generation of Filipinos. Our apps are now reaching thousands of homes and classrooms, expanding our impact beyond Metro Manila to various provinces, proving that local innovation can indeed make a global difference.
